This was the one I felt more attached to with more ideas flowing. The story will take place in a mythological pixie world were a fairy adventures in her own pursuit of happiness.
I really like how you've expanded this idea! Your artworks really tell a strong story here! I think the second one of her uncovering that doorway has a lot of power in it, and I like that the first one gets the idea across that she's different from other pixies just from her body language in comparison to the other girl. I also like how you changed the very obvious religious symbols in the seventh one to slightly more abstract ones, because I think it still reads as 'religious', but it also has a wider appeal that more people could relate to, like the confines of work or society and how oppressive those can be. I'm interested to know exactly what's happening in the last one, since it seems like there's a happy or at least slightly hopeful end, which I think would be nice since it takes a dark turn near the end. One thing that might be difficult though is getting the same contrast in ideas across without color. It seems like the contrast between the bland world and the super colorful world she discovers is very important to the story visually, but as was mentioned in class that might be difficult to do time-wise. If there were others ways besides color to portray that contrast, such as straight, rigid lines to things in the old world and curvy, funky lines in the new one (which you already have), that might help get the idea across just in case you don't have time to add color to everything. I think this idea is great though, and I hope you are able to color it!
These concept arts are very beautiful. It's nice how you use color to differentiate the main character from the fairy society. The world you created is really lovely, and very original. It makes me curious to see how the story plays out all together. Otherwise you should try finding a solution to that.
The only issue I can see is that your story needs color. It is an issue since animating color is very time consuming. Maybe you can only have the main character be in color, kinda like showing how uniform the fairy society is in black and white.
